A top security chief yesterday accusedsome judges in some states of the north of frustrating efforts by security agencies to prosecute the arrested members of the Islamicsect, Boko Haram just as Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State raised an alarm that members of the sect have infiltrated the country’s security agencies.
Also, as Lagos, Ekiti and Delta States have joinedother states in evacuating their students from Borno over the menace of the sect, all public buildings including premises of governors offices of thesix Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, controlled states are now no-go areas for people without invitation and specific mission.
This came as Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Sunday Ola Makinde gave his support for theuse of force by the government to dislodge the sect members.
A top security Chief who is part of the on-going push against the Boko Haram group told Vanguard in Abuja yesterday that the security agencies had made significant in-road into the cells of the Islamic extremists.
The source said: “We have rounded up many of them and this has started affecting their reach. As a result, they are now trying to cause panic among Nigerians. This is why they are publishing things such as the so-called watch-list of some prominent Nigerians meant for assassination.(VANGUARD NEWSPAPER)
