Nigerian Air Hostess held for Cocaine Possession

An air hostess has been charged with attempting to smuggle four kilogrammes of cocaine into the United Kingdom through London Heathrow airport.

Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, a thirty-year old Nigerian, was arrested on Sunday 18 December following the discovery of the drugs in an item of luggage.

 A statement by the Press Secretary of the British High Commission, Hooman Nouruzi stated that Miss Ogbonnaya had arrived Heathrow terminal 4 having travelled on an Arik Air flight from Lagos, Nigeria.
 She has been charged with attempting to import a class A substance, and is expected to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates Court.
