Oshiomole Receives PDP Defectors To ACN In Edo State



A former member of the Edo State House of Assembly and member of the Federal Character Commission, Hon Peter Ekhator, has led several members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ovia North East, Ovia South West and Egor local Government Areas of Edo State to decamp to the Action Congress of Nigeria.

Peter Ekhator at his formal declaration for the ACN at the Edo state Government House expressed regret for working against the Adams Oshiomhole government while he was in the PDP saying that his action in the past three years has justified the vote.

Receiving the new members into the party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said their joining the PDP has further strenghtened his resolve to deliver the dividened of Democracy to the people.

Speaking on behalf of the former members of the PDP, at the event held at the Government House in Benin City, Hon. Peter Ekhator said his decision to pitch tent with the Action Congress of Nigeria is informed by the courageous steps being taken by the governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to transform Edo State coupled with the structures he has created which has given hope to many.

Presenting the defectors from the PDP to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the state chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Hon Thomas Okosun thanked them for appreciating the good things being done by the governor and assured them of equal opportunities.

The Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole told the new Action Congress of Nigeria members that their movement will reinforce the agent of change which the party represents.
