A stunning Omotola, dressed in a dark-brown gown adorned with a ruby laced neckline, arrived at the National Theatre nearing the end of the first showing for ‘Ties That Bind’, and she did it in style. She immediately turned the attention of the press to herself, walking through one interview to the next and posing for one photographer after the other, till the first showing came to an end. When she was introduced to the crowd in the auditorium, she was received with a thunderous applause as she shared her experience of making the movie with the crowd. She was later besieged by several fans for their photo opportunities until she had to make her way back into the auditorium for the seconding showing. In ‘Ties That Bind’ Omotola plays the role of Adobea, a sick pregnant woman who discovers she has a chronic disease under the most tragic of circumstances. The role recently won Omotola the nod for Best Actress in an African collaboration at the Ghana Movie Awards. The CEO of the awards, Fred Nuamah hinted that while the actress was in Ghana, she would be presented with her trophy. | |||
