Yoruba actor, producer and director, Ibrahim Chatta, was over the
weekend beaten to a pulp at the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, by film
pirates, who were selling copies of the producer's films.
The top producer had been on his way to an event when he was spotted by
the pirates who thought he was coming to get them arrested...again. A
few of them had been arrested some weeks back.
Chatta lost consciousness during the assault and was fortunately rescued
from near death by mobile policemen who were around the area at the
time. He's currently receiving treatment at the hospital. No arrest has
so far been made.
