Eagles need more time, hard work — Taiwo

Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo, who is basking in the euphoria of his club’s victory over Arsenal in the English Premier League on Saturday, is expecting a tough road to the top for the Nigerian team. Taiwo who spoke on the backdrop of the African Nations Cup and the World Cup qualifying matches said that fans needed to be patient just as the players need to work extra hard to return to greatness once again.

“It will not be easy (the qualifiers) because we will just be coming off a busy season but the target would be to win the full points in these matches irrespective of the scores,” he said.

“We need more time and hard work to return to the top.”
