Super
Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama on Wednesday warned Nigerians not to
expect any miracle from the team against Malawi in the 2014 World Cup
qualifier in Blantyre on Saturday.
Enyeama told the News Agency of Nigeria that what was uppermost in the minds of many members of the team was having a formidable squad.
Nigeria had beaten Namibia 1-0 on Sunday while Malawi had a goalless draw with Kenya in their Group F games.
“We are not going to make
miracles happen. We are still in the rebuilding process and Nigerians
should bear with us and pray for the team to succeed,” Enyeama said.
“But we will try as much as possible to make Nigerians happy and, by the grace of God, we will succeed.”
