Kogi to Partner NDE On Job Creation


Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada says his administration will partner with the National Directorate of Employment to create jobs for the youths in the state.
The governor said this when the NDE state coordinator, Malam Abudlkari Oba Saadu, led management staff on a courtesy visit to the government house.
He said unemployment was one of the major causes of anti-social and criminal tendencies among youths, adding that government was collaborating with NDE which has over 25 years experience in the area of job creation.
Earlier, the cordinator said they were at the governor’s office to present a proposal for creating 5,000 jobs to the government.
He outlined the methodologies developed by the NDE to create the 5,000 jobs, including skills acquisition, enterprise creation, special public/labour based approach programme, rural employment promotion, training of women and provision of resettlement equipment/loan to graduate trainees.
