President committed to transparent election – Oshiomhole

Ahead of the July 14 governorship election in Edo State, incumbent Governor Adams Oshiomhole on Tuesday, expressed confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan would not be party to the subversion of electoral process.
Speaking in the state capital, Benin, the governor called on Jonathan not to pander to what he described as antics of the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He said, “I believe President Jonathan on his own came up with his transformation agenda, so the sub-structure of that agenda must be on politics and how elections are conducted. We wonder why the PDP candidate is going to Abuja for help, saying he doesn’t want to be disgraced.
