Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy
, His Royal Punkness, and Area Fada is a Nigerian singer/songwriter,
television presenter, publisher, producer and one of Nigeria's
most controversial entertainers, best known for his maverick lifestyle, biker
style, political views, and his television productions, most notably The Charly
Boy Show. Formerly president of the Performing Musicians Association of
Nigeria, he is now an Idol Series judge.
He is the second son of former Supreme Court judge Chukwudifu Oputa.
He had set out to become a priest, but left seminary school after a year. In his late teens he moved to America where he was expected to study Law as his father had done, but graduated with a degree in Communications.
Charly Boy has always been a national talking-point because of his music, his eccentric style of dressing, his piercing and tattoos have been frowned on by conservative Nigerians, who view this form of modification as Satanic and occultist.
Irrespective of all these, Charly boy is a force to reckon with in the showbiz industry.
He recently revealed that he has multiple personalities- Charles Oputa, Charly Boy and Linda.

CHARLES OPUTA
Charles Oputa is the calm, cool, normal family man. He is also a responsible family man, with eight children and 12 grand children. He doesn’t smoke, drink alcohol nor womanize.
And contarary to popular belief, he is not gay. He has been married to African-American singer and former fashion designer Diane for over thirty years. The couple have children together, and Charly Boy - who had been married before - has children from past relationships.

LINDA
Linda is his feminine side, that's the woman in him. It is that Linda that wears make-ups. Linda directs him on how to be compassionate like women and also responsible for all the humanitarian works he had done over the years, without Linda, he couldn’t have done all that.
