General Manager of DMT VIP Toilets, Mr. Lanre Akinwale, speaks to Adekola Bamgbala on challenges of his job, the standard and competitions involved in the business.
As a management, how have you been able to sustain thus far?
We give God all the glory. He has been with us all the time. Also, I would say we have been sustaining it so far due to hard work and commitment.
How old is the DMT Company?
It started in 1992 and since then it’s been from one breakthrough to another.
With the exit of Otunba Gadafi, how have you been coping with challenges?
Challenges are bound to happen, when owners die like this but at DMT the story is very different and we have managed challenges.
How has your wife been supporting you in this challenging task?
I got married to my friend, mother and sister. She is a mother and friend indeed.
How do you relax on a weekend?
You can’t relax enough in this kind of task. In most cases, I would be relaxing and a call could come in around midnight and they will tell me that by 10am, I must provide services in five different places.
Do you have branches all over Nigeria or you move your equipment everywhere?
We have agents in Abuja and Port Harcourt and from Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt we serve everywhere else.
How special is DMT VIP Mobile Toilet?
It’s a very special one because it is fully air conditioned, it has LED TV, there is rug inside it, a stand-by generator and you ease comfortably in it.
What is the cost implication of bringing DMT Mobile VIP Toilets to events?
Wow! It’s very cheap. And it’s for all categories.
