Fulham
midfielder Dickson Etuhu was the first foreign-based player to hit the
Super Eagles camp in Abuja on Sunday. The player had been listed
alongside Osaze Odemwingie as one of the players to make it early and he
jetted in accordingly.
“It’s gladdening to be back and we need all the
concentration to return Nigerian football to the very top in Africa,”
Etuhu said on arrival.
The remaining 10 players from Europe were expected to
be in Abuja latest by Monday morning ahead of the trip to Kigali,
Rwanda later same night.
The Eagles manager Stephen Keshi said yesterday that
he had cleared three of the players to report on Monday evening as they
had Sunday games. The players are goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama of French
side Lille, Joel Obi of Inter Milan and Spain based Ikechukwu Uche.
