Taiwo scores first EPL goal, Ehiosun hits brace

Taye Taiwo-Milan
Taye Taiwo could not help Queens Park Rangers battle out of the relegation zone after his side fell 3-1 to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. It was Taiwo’s seventh appearance for the club and he did well to score through a wonderful free kick in the 79th minute – his first goal in the English Premier League since joining in January.
Emmanuel Emenike may have recently been excluded from international duties, the striker has now rediscovered his scoring form with Spartak Moscow as he netted the first goal on Sunday to inspire a 3-1 win over Dynamo Moscow. It was his second goal this month and his 10th for the season.
Samsunspor’s striker Ekigho Ehiosun brightened his club’s hope of escaping relegation this season after his brace gave them the maximum points needed against Mersin Idmanyurdu on Sunday. It was his third brace this season, taking his goal tally to nine.
In spite of the 2-0 victory, Samsunspor are still 16th in the 18-team league.
