NUT Strike – Government gets September ultimatum

Following the delay by the Federal Government in fulfilling the agreement  over the new Teachers Enhanced Salary Structure (TESS), the Nigerian Union of Teachers have threatened to go on an indefinite strike come September this year if nothing is done.
Confirming the intended strike action, the President of the body, Comrade Michael Olukoya stated that the impending action was the outcome of government’s failure to meet up with the agreed increase of teachers’ salaries by 27.5%
