On that fateful day(about 366 days ago precisely), I decided to google it, typed 'blogging', searched for every info to ascertain how it is done, whether it is free or not, and emm I got a positive result(blogging is free..lol). Within minutes I signed up(since I already have an existing gmail account, it didn't take long at all) and wow! right there was the dashboard before me ready for use. There and then it dawned on me that it won't be possible to post via mobile(first challenge) except through text message inform of MMS that is almost unrealistic if you ask me, coz such system of sending message does not always work out around here), especially posts involving pictures and the beauty of blogging is in picture upload, if you post without including picture, the 'attraction' won't be there for readers, so they might just visit maybe once or twice and stop coming. If you check the first set of posts/updates from the beginning, you'll discover that most of them were 'pictureless' plus the fact that I even went 'off air' for another long period, I was like this blogging stuff cannot work jare(in the absence of laptop, most bloggers use laptop for easy upload, coz anytime the inspiration comes, you'll just get the system, type and upload. Well, after a while I just concluded, decided to adjust the 'main title' of the blog to something easier(won't have to compose anything), just go to news websites and extract, that is why obafemayor's blog is famous for news blogging majorly today. Needed a blog title that won't require much work, extract and post, then get back to what am doing....don't worry about the details.lolzzz
In summary, this is my story or do I say blog story now...lolzzzz, and like I always say on facebook(blog advert), obafemayor's blog, its' all about infotainment(hey! don't bother to check your dictonary, idea is needed*winks*).
The Future: Well, a lot of bloggers usually start off and abandon after a little while especially after realizing that there's nothing to gain(except for those that have 'advertising patronage'), blogging is something that you must be interested in, if you create an account because of 'gains', you'll be discouraged in the 'long run', trust me(coz a couple of persons have asked me questions about how to open and what they stand to gain)..oh sorry there's something to gain, you 'll become a tiny, minute online
Well, I can't really say much about the future of this blog but I can guarantee the next 365days, i.e. I'll try to keep it run for the next one year after which I may 'pull it offline', depends on pageviews.
With over 60, 000 pageviews, I don't think it's a bad start at all considering the fact that there's this constant limitation that I've not been able to surmout(a Laptop).
Okay, this is the drill, if total pageviews can get to 200, 000 in the next one year(meaning the new target is now 140,000 pageview), then I'll continue blogging else that's the end.
N:B - The only motivation in blogging is pageviews mainly.(Google adsense, well I've not been able to successfully create an account, so I don't know about that)
