The
National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has given a seven day
ultimatum to the Edo State Government to tender an unreserved apology to
the family of late Osazuwa Ewemade.
Ewemade, a second year student of Edo State Institute of Management
and Technology (ESITM) was allegedly shot last Thursday by security
operatives attached to the governor’s convoy during his re-election
campaign tour.
The state commissioner for Information and Orientation, Louis Odion,
alleged that the governor’s convoy was attacked at about 6pm by the
students of the institution and several official vehicles of the state
government were badly damaged with bullets.
