The
police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned Sukurat Aminu before the Somolu
Magistrate’s Court over her alleged hiring of unidentified military men
to assault her co-tenants.
Police prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Akinlebi, told the court that Aminu on
Aug. 6 at about 10a.m employed the services of five unknown military
men to harass and assault Olusola Nosiru and Owolabi Mariam, the News
Agency of Nigeria reports.
Aminu,who resides at No. 23 Rasidi Akotun Street, Bariga, pleaded not
guilty to the two-count charge of threat to life and assault.
According to Akinlebi, the accused allegedly took the action
following a disagreement between her and Nosiru over a heap of sand in
front of their residence.
