FA Cup: Heartland want houses from Okorocha

Heartland have asked Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha to reward them with houses as gifts if they beat Enyimba to win the Federation Cup Sunday.
Triumphant teams like Dolphin have been rewarded by the state government with cars and huge cash gifts after they won the country’s foremost cup competition.
But the players of Heartland have asked Governor Okorocha that they would very much appreciate if he could reward them with a house each in a good neighbourhood in the Imo State capital of Owerri.
“The team had a breakfast meeting with the Governor recently and they told him that they look forward to him giving them a house each in Owerri when they win the Cup,” Heartland spokesman Cajetan Nkwopara told MTN Football.com
“The Governor preferred to keep his own promise to himself, but assured them of government’s full backing in their quest to bring honour and glory to Imo State.” ‘The Naze boys will clash with regional rivals Enyimba in Sunday’s Federation Cup final in Lagos. They last lifted the trophy 23 years ago and were beaten in the final by Plateau United in 1999.
The winners of Sunday’s final will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
