I can’t marry a poor man -Liz Anjorin

Liz Anjorin

We learnt you have reconciled with Iyabo Ojo.
We have settled. Nobody settled us. But I don’t know what is wrong with some people. Though we had settled, some people went and dug up the interviews we granted years ago when we were not on speaking terms and started running them again. People would call me to ask me if I saw her interview and what she said about me. Others would call her and ask her if she saw my interview. We always tell those people that we no longer have a problem because we have settled our differences. Even the elderly ones in the industry called us and we told them that we were no longer fighting. During my mum’s first year remembrance recently, she (Iyabo Ojo) was even the first person to call me and pray for me.
So you are saying there is no more issue between you two?
We have settled and we have settled. People disagree to agree.

And she lives on.

Estranged wife of Gongo Aso crooner, Toni Payne has hit hard the controversial actress recently when she told friends that Tonto Dikeh is only fooling herself as a singer.

Toni, in her evaluation of Tonto as a musician said "It's actually funny, I would not want to lie, I heard one of her songs on radio once. You know what; I think the way people reacted to it seemed like bad. There is a way you criticise people constructively, you don't have to make the person feel bad, I think a lot of people turned it into insults. That's probably, because they don't like her. It was not even as bad as they make it look like. But my score is that, obviously, she is not a singer. And I am sure she knows she is not a singer. May be she was just having fun. For that, I will give her like 25% over 100% for her effort. There are some people that have dreams and they like to fulfill their dreams, so she gets 25% for trying," the mother of one, Zion said.

Tournament favourites, Cote D’Ivoire have said that Nigeria cannot stand in their way of reaching the semifinal of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Ivorians are bidding for a third successive semifinal place at the continental football fiesta but standing in their way are the Nigerians, who they confront on Sunday at the Royal Bafikong Stadium.

Both west African nations have been involved in feisty clashes in past editions of the tournament but this weekend’s showdown in Rustenburg is of high premium to the Ivorians, who have suffered successive heartbreaks in the last four editions of the Nations Cup.

Chelsea forward John Obi Mikel has warned his Eagles teammate reckons Nigeria should nott fear Ivory Coast ahead of Sunday’s epic quarter-final clash, with team-mate Emmanuel Emenike in agreement.
The Super Eagles face the Elephants at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday, Cote d’Ivoire having already secured their spot in the last-eight with a match to spare.

The perennial AFCON favourites lost out to Zambia in last year’s final, but unlike the ousted champions, Sabri Lamouchi’s team have looked a potent unit in 2013.
Mikel, who counts Ivory Coast duo Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou as former Chelsea team-mates, insists there will be no love-lost come the weekend’s crunch encounter.
“We hope to go past Cote d’Ivoire and make it to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations,” Mikel said in Rustenburg
“The coach demands 110 percent for us at all times and on Sunday against Cote d’Ivoire, we will give 110 percent.”
Emenike added: “We are not afraid of them. We respect them but why should we be afraid of them?
“This is football and no team is too big and we are very positive we will win on Sunday.”

bayero jonathan emir kano

The deadly attack on January 19, 2013 in the northern State of Nigeria on the convoy of the Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero may have awakened embryonic fears of insecurity – and may have brought a renewed awareness to the doorsteps of many of the top ranking northern political elites and religious leaders who had previously enjoyed a blanket sense of security.
Credible information available to 247ureports.com obtained through a competent source within the security operatives stationed in Kano metropolis reveal that the attack on the Emir of Kano State may have been orchestrated by persons other than the dreaded Jihadist group, the Boko Haram – or its many copycat groups that have sprung up in the many quarters of northern Nigeria. The security source pointed to internal tussles within the Emirate as responsible for the deadly attack on the Emir.

Super-Eagles-players1

Two-goal hero in the Super Eagles victory over Ethiopia, Victor Moses, and Villarreal striker Ike Uche say the quarterfinal match against Ivory Coast on Sunday will not be one-sided. They warned that having crossed the group stage, Nigeria will be hard to dismiss.
They spoke just as the Nigerian camp remained in suspense over the exact official decision on Mikel Obi concerning his eligibility for the next game. The Confederation of African Football was yet to make a clear statement on Mikel by last night.
On Ivory Coast, Moses said, “It’s going to be a big match that the whole Africa will look out for. Our game is not entirely low in this competition and gradually, we are coming into the game fully.
“Our opponents have great players and good record in the first round. We did suffer a bit but that’s that. We are starting all over again and I can assure you that you can’t just dismiss Nigeria like that. We will respect them as great team but we are not behind them. It’s a quarterfinal match of the Nations Cup and you have to respect that.”
