Etuhu,Yobo, Efe promise better Eagles

Nigeria international, Dickson Etuhu has expressed joy as he returned to the national team after a long self-imposed international exile.

Etuhu who was in Coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi’s line up against Botswana in Benin Saturday and actually won man-of-the-match award in the friendly said he cherished wearing the Nigeria jersey. “I am always joyous when I wear the Nigerian shirt,” he said, adding that he was ready to serve anytime he was called upon.
The English Premier League star observed after the match that the Stephen Keshi assembled Eagles will fly but should be given time to get used to the new formation the coach was introducing. “We played but couldn’t convert the numerous chances that we created. It was a good match.”
Yobo
Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo was equally happy with the performance of the team. “The boys are doing well,” the skipper said, pointing out that they needed time. “You could see the commitment and the zeal to play, And the work rate is high. I am happy with the way we played. The next match would be better.”
Yobo’s partner in the heart of Eagles defence, Efe Ambrose was also satisfied with the performance of his team mates. “We played well and it should be known that Botswana is no longer a minor in African football. They qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations in a group that had Tunisia, Togo and others.”
Ambrose said the team will work hard and ensure they regained the confidence of Nigerians.
