Keshi Awaits NFF's Executive Committee's Decision

Former Super Eagles' captain, Stephen Keshi has been recommended as Nigeria's new manager by the country's football federation's technical committee.

SuperSport.com has been informed that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee recommended Keshi as Super Eagles' head coach to its executive arm in a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.

"The members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee have unanimously opted for Stephen Keshi as Nigeria's new coach to replace Samson Siasia. That is their recommendation," an NFF source hinted.

The technical committee of the football federation was still meeting as at 6pm Nigerian time on Tuesday to determine Keshi's assistant.

The names of Daniel Amokachi and surprisingly Kano Pillars' head coach, Ladan Bosso were presented before the committee for screening as Keshi's assistant.

But the recommendation by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee is still subject to ratification by the executive committee of the football federation on Wednesday in Abuja.
