Arsenal to play Hong Kong friendly

Arsenal are to play in Hong Kong for the first time in 17 years as part of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia, the Premier League giants confirmed on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger’s side will face Hong Kong outfit Kitchee at the Hong Kong Stadium on July 29 following an earlier friendly against Manchester City in Beijing on July 27.
“It’s great that Arsenal Football Club is visiting Hong Kong again after 17 years,” chief executive Ivan Gazidis said.
“We have many followers in Hong Kong and it’s wonderful that these special fans will have an opportunity to see the first team live in action.
Arsenal’s last visit to the former British colony in 1995 was notorious for an incident involving midfielder Ray Parlour, who was arrested and fined after an altercation with a Hong Kong taxi driver.
