The Nigerian basketball team D’Tigers were trashed on July 31, 2012 by the Baltic Giants of Lithuania by a whopping 72-53 at the newly built Basketball Arena of the Olympic Park London.
The game which had the score lines
almost initially a par, took a different turn when D’Tigers flaunted the
games and seemed unable to keep up with their east European
counterpart.
It was however a great shocker to
Nigerians since an earlier encounter between the duos in the preliminary
matches had seen Nigeria thrashing the Lithuania side by an 88-84
defeat.
The Nigerian Tigers would be taking on
the United States of America in their next match coming up on Thursday,
August 2, 2012 (today).
