Except the situation changes, a reminiscent of what transpired during the war between former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Atiku Abubakar is about to repeat itself in Adamawa State.
It would be recalled that during the tug of war between Chief Obasanjo and Alhaji Atiku, the former in conjunction with some powerful politicians in and outside the state used Governor Muritala Nyako to destabilize and uproot the political structure of Atiku in Adamawa State. Few years down the line, Governor Nyako is perhaps, about to find himself in the same shoes if information at our disposal is anything to consider.
Governor Nyako who has been having a running battle with the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur is also said not to be having it smooth with his deputy, Ngillary, though, the two parties have variously denied existence of disagreement between them.
Those who should know revealed that Ngillary who was once a loyal servant to his boss, Governor Nyako has pitched his tent with Bamanga Tukur which has now changed the political calculation in Adamawa State. This marriage of connivance, we learnt is taking a new dimension, as both men are said to be working behind the scene on how to emasculate Governor Nyako in the state. Already, Governor Nyako is one of the aggrieved PDP northern governors who have formed an alliance against the leadership of PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan.
As it is, Governor Nyako is fighting against two powerful leaders of his party and in order not to put the chances of PDP in Adamawa State in 2015 at risk which will be a disgrace to Bamanga Tukur; plans are said to be going on to impeach Governor Nyako. To this end, the deputy governor, Ngillary in collaboration with Bamanga Tukur are said to have infiltrated the Adamawa State House of Assembly trying to woo the lawmakers to their side in order to achieve their aim.
