The police boss, who has been facing persistent calls by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and some notable individuals including the factural leader of the state chapter of the National Union of Road TransportWorkers (NURTW) AlhajiLateef Akinsola (a.k.a Tokyo), was transferred after spending three years in the Pacesetter State.
He would be succeeded by Mr Salihu Hashimu, who was until yesterday his counterpart in Jigawa. Hashimu supervised theApril general elections in Oyo while Bolanta was in Sokoto.
Reacting to the development through its state Secretary Mr Wasiu Olatunbosun, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), lauded the redeployment, saying it was overdue, despite the controversies surrounding his handling of many cases during his tenure.
Olatunbosun, said the ACN was happy with the development, pointing out that the party was expecting a new commissioner of police that will ensure peace and tranquillity in the state.(via ASCOLOGY NEWS) I also support the state government's stand on his redeployment. And on this note, I'll be officially signing out for today. Thanks for being there, God bless you abundantely. Oda aro ooo, sai gobé, ka chi foo.
