Mark, in a statement issued today by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, condemned the attack, saying he was saddened by the renewed violence in Kano and some other states.
According to the statement, Mark urged the security agencies in the country to once again rise to the challenge of these gruesome acts by bringing the perpetrators to book.
Mark, who was quoted as lamenting the incessant incidents of gun attacks and the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram sect who always target innocent individuals, also called on any Nigerians having information about the hideouts of these insurgents, to make such available to the security agencies.
Calling on those behind the dastardly act to sheath their swords and embrace peace in the interest of the nation, the Senate president said: “If their designs and actions are genuine, they should embrace the dialogue option canvassed by every notable Nigerian.”
