Channels TV's Sport Tonight Presenter, Joe Ighile Is Dead

News reports confirm that popular sport presenter on Channels TV, Joe Ighile is dead. According to information gathered by Nigeriafilms.com, Joe, as he was fondly called, was presenting the show on Friday night when he demanded for a quick break but later requested to be taken to the hospital where he died.

His death has left many of his colleagues in shock. We gathered that one of his co hosts on the show, Toyin Ibitoye, who was on his way to South Africa to cover the final match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso, is short of words on how to describe Joe's death.

Joe joined Channels Television in 2003 as a reporter/producer. Before his death, he was the head of sports department of the television house where he handled sports programmes on the station.

He is survived by a wife and two children.
