This has been an interesting year for fast rising actress Beverly Naya. She just hosted the last 'Mode Men Awards' and featured in the star-studded 'Weekend Getaway'. Bola Aduwo of Nollywooduncut caught up with the pretty actress as she came in fresh from shooting an epic movie in Bayelsa titled 'Up Creek Without A Paddle'.
The film deals with the conflict in the Niger Delta region; Environmental degradation, lack of education as a result of tensions between the foreign oil corporations and a number of the Niger Delta's minority ethnic groups who felt they were being exploited. Ultimately leading to violence and kidnapping by militants within the Niger Delta, they take up arms against the government to seek a better life.
In the movie which also stars Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Patience Ozokwor and Van Vicker, Beverly acts the part of the sister of a militant, who later gets in volved in some aspects of life that makes her question her life's choices.... The film is directed and produced by Tarila Thompson and filmed using the latest equipment with an international crew. More stills from the movie below:
