AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo has allegedly joined Premier League outfit QPR in a six-month loan deal, according to his agent.
Fabio Parisi has taken to his twitter account
‘@parisitweet’ to upload a picture of the 26-year-old full-back shaking
hands with R’s manager Mark Hughes which accompanies a tweet that says:
“Taiwo has just signed a six month loan with QPR”.
If true, the signing is a signal of intent by the
Welshman as he bids to keep the West London club up in the Premier
League after recently taking over from Neil Warnock as boss.
The Nigerian has been sought after in recent times by
other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Newcastle but Hughes has
stolen a march on the pair as he prepares himself for Premier League
survival.
He has only been at parent club AC Milan since June
last year after signing on a free transfer from French side Marseille
but has been restricted to four starts.
He might make England his permanent home in the
summer as teams in the top six have all taken a look at him in January
but Hughes has acted fast to get his man as his defence has shipped in
its fair share of goals this season.
