Super
Eagles captain Joseph Yobo is optimistic that the team will qualify for
the next edition of the World Cup. His confidence is built on the
team’s last match, and their defence in particular against Namibia.
Yobo who spoke after the
World Cup qualifier in Calabar on Sunday said that the players would
strive to secure the Brazil 2014 ticket.
“That Nigeria will not be
at the World Cup is unimaginable. Both on personal and general levels, I
will put in my best to ensure we land in Brazil. That may be my last
tournament for Nigeria and it will be an honour to captain a great
country like Nigeria at the World Cup”, he said.
