One of the biggest gifts received by 2face and Annie, during their final wedding ceremony over the weekend, was the N12.6m Chevrolet Corvette Luxury Coupé.
The luxurious automobile was presented
to the couple right after the wedding ceremony in Dubai, reportedly,
courtesy Senate President David Mark, who hails from the same town as 2face; Idoma, Benue State. Mark did not personally attend the event.
The gift comes a few weeks after Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio blessed the lucky couple with an SUV gift when they visited the state for their traditional nuptials. Annie Uwana Macaulay is from Eket, in Akwa Ibom.
Again, there have been strong reactions and harsh criticisms over the very luxurious gift.

But other reports suggest that it might not have been a gift from David Mark after all. Some blogs report that Kola Ologbondiyan, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to David Mark, allegedly claims the gift is not from the Senate President.
‘Senator Mark did not visit Dubai
for Tiface wedding rather he attended the 128th Inter parliamentary
Union (IPU) conference currently holding in Quito, Ecuador. He was also
not represented at Mr. Idibia’s wedding.
It is also instructive to state that
the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation
of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did
he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician
or his wife‘, the statement read.
The controversial gift however came with a paper tag which read ‘Wedding gift from Senator David Mark to Tuface and Annie‘.
