Prince Chukwueloka Adibe, father of the latest triplets in Onitsha, on Tuesday solicited for financial assistance from Gov. Peter Obi and philanthropists to maintain the babies.
Adibe’s wife, Amaka, gave birth to the triplets at about 11.30 a.m. on Monday (March 25) at the New Mayor Hospital, Ogidi.
The babies weighed 2.85kg, 2.1kg and 1.9kg, respectively, in the order of their delivery.
Adibe, who was thankful to God for the wonderful gifts, told newsmen at Ogidi near Onitsha that he had two boys and a girl already.

“I prayed for God to give us one more but in His magnanimity He gave us three; two girls and a boy. My problem now is that we now have six of them, three boys and three girls; Gov. Obi and other good spirited individuals should come to our rescue,” he urged.
The father of the triplets, who is one of the Commanders of Anambra State Traffic Agency (ASTA), said he was satisfied with the number of children in his family.
On her part, the mother of the triplets also pleaded for assistance from both the government and individuals.
Dr Boniface Ossai, the Medical Director of the hospital, had earlier declared that “the triplets are hail and hearty’’.
Ossai, however, said that it took a lot of time to organise the babies because “they were coming out at a time’’. (NAN)
