Coach Manu Garba and his technical crew on Monday took the Golden Eaglets through rigorous penalty kicks training as they prepared ahead of their crucial Morocco 2013 CAN U-17 semi-final game against Tunisia on Wednesday at the Grande Stade de Marrakech.
At Monday’s training at the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali Stadium in Marrakech, the coaches took time off the regular training routine to teach the players the art of taking penalty kicks.
“We have never excluded taking penalties from our training even before now,” Garba said.
“In fact, almost all the players are good at taking penalties but we are going to even work more as we prepare against Tunisia.
“We are taking no chances at all and we are taking everything seriously. But we don’t want to depend on the lottery of the penalties as such; we will try our best and win the match in regulation time.”
