Happy birthday to Mummy G.O.
Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye is a pastor and the wife of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). She is a veteran teacher.
Pastor (Mrs.) Adeboye started her teaching career as a spinster and in the course of her life acquired various teaching skills. Her seasoned experience as a teacher qualified her to be appointed as the Headmistress of Christ the Redeemers’ Nursery and Primary School, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
As a teacher, people described her as humble, patient, and a lover of little children. She has also been seen to be generous to the point of making great sacrifices of her time, talents and treasure. Her love for children prompted her to establish Christ the Redeemer’s Nursery and Primary School (CRNP) AT Ebute-Metta, Lagos. The encouragement she had from humble beginnings influenced the establishment of other nursery, primary and secondary schools as well as the Redeemer’s University of Nigeria (RUN)
Mrs. Adeboye is a strong pillar, a visionary and a wonderful planner who complements the efforts of her husband. Her sterling attributes have helped her husband to obey God’s command to become great. As the saying goes, “behind every successful man, there is always a woman.” She works to crown her husband’s ministerial work (Proverbs 12:4a). She believes that the primary calling of a woman is to help her husband accomplish whatever work God has committed into his hands (Genesis 2:15-18). She also written a number of books.
Her unique insight in the role of women ministry, humility, gracious comportment and general impact on the women folk have endeared her to millions of women all over the world. She is a woman of prayer and intercession.
Happy birthday ma, wish you many happy returns of the day in Jesus name, amen.
