Popular stand-up comic Julius Agwu has announced he will be bringing back the gospel themed ‘Laff 4 Christ sake’ comedy show.
The show which started in 1994 gained a lot of popularity but was rested after its sixth edition in 2009. Speaking with Nigerian Entertainment Today, the comedian said ‘There were a few challenges; of course it involved monetary matters too. But we are back now.’
The show which will take place at the Muson Centre on Sunday, October 23, 2011 will feature popular comedians Basketmouth, Bovi, and Gordons. Others include Buchi, Dan D’Humorous, Senator and Funny Bone.
Music will be supplied by Gospel acts KSB, Frank Edwards, Eben, Onos and Tim Godfrey. Deejay on deck will be DJ Gosporella.
‘Laff 4 Christ sake is a way of me thanking God for the creativity and ingenuity he has given me’, Agwu explained.
