Kaduna seeks FG’s assistant to revive automobile industries

Olusegun
The Kaduna State Government has sought the assistance of the Federal Government to revitalise its textile and automobile industries.
Governor Patrick Yakowa asked for the assistance on Friday in Abuja during a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga.
The governor noted that the manufacturing sector was critical to job creation, wealth generation and economic transformation of the state in particular, and the country at large.
Yakowa also said that his administration was ready to partner the ministry to attract foreign direct investment into the state, especially in the areas of textile, automotive, mining and solid minerals, adding that the state had yet to fully exploit its abundant potential in the sectors
He said, “Everyone will agree with me that Mr. Aganga served with excellence in the Ministry of Finance and I have no doubt that it was his performance in that ministry that the President saw and made it mandatory that he should take charge of this new ministry.
