Give Keshi three years to build a winning team – Babangida


Former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida has advised Nigerians to be patient with the chief coach of the national team, Stephen Keshi in the task of putting together a winning team.
Tijani believes Keshi needs at least three years to have the kind of Eagles Nigerians expect to see. Speaking with 2muchsports.com, Babangida who is the general manager of  FC Taraba said the Super Eagles have totally lost direction and deviated from the traditional Nigerian method of playing which gives lots of concentrations to wing play.
He stated that the task before Keshi was not a simple one, stressing that the sooner people realized that the better it would be.
“So many people are expecting Keshi to perform magic immediately and get the Super Eagles back to where it used be. That will definitely not be easy as I know that it will take him at least three years to accomplish that.”
He however warned that much as it would be very difficult job to get the Super Eagles to play at their best so soon, he said Keshi still does not have the luxury to fail the Nation as the whole Nigeria football fans are looking up to him to be the man that will succeed where so many coaches have failed.”
