Kabo Air denies media reports on its aircrafts

Kabo Air Limited on Sunday denied media reports that some of its Aircrafts are over 30 years old.
A statement issued by its Public Relations Manager, Alhaji Aminu Hamza in Kano said the planes described in the reports had been phased out many years ago.
“The planes described in the reports have been phased out many years ago and are no longer in the fleet of the airline.
“The management of Kabo Air is worried about the publication, entitled: “panic over age of aircraft”, published in one of the daily newspapers on June 8,” it said.
According to the statement, the report erroneously painted a picture that Kabo Air had seven aircraft in its fleet and went on to give the average age of the aircraft as 35.3 years.
The report, according to the statement, was contradictory as it specified the ages of five of the purported aircraft that were no longer in the fleet of the Kabo Airline.
“The management wishes to state that three of the said aircrafts, namely, 5N-JJJ, 5N-PDP and 5N-RRR have been phased out several years ago’’ and wondered what the report wanted to achieve.
“In view of the mourning mood of the nation as a result of the recent unfortunate air mishap, the company feels that this is not the appropriate time to boost its credentials but assured Nigerians of safe and efficient service all the time,’’ it said. (NAN)

Synopsis
Kenenna Chibueze (Clem Ohameze) is a man of his words who believes his country has the potential to be among the great nations of the world with the right type of leadership. He wins the presidential election on the merit of good politics and is loved and supported by more than 95 percent of his countrymen and women.
He is however ambushed in an attempted assassination orchestrated by the current president (Jim Lawson) two months to the inauguration. He survives the attack but stays comatose for nearly 5 weeks. No one knows he is alive except for Dr. Shola (Van Vicker), his team of doctors caring for the fallen future president at a secret hospital and the current president’s right hand man, Chris Obi (Chidi Mokeme).
The life and contributions of the comatose president elect is brought to light through interviews conducted by the respected media personality, Angela Anadu (Susan Nwokedi). The story takes us on several twists and turns and has the right mixture of good dialogue, drama, action, politics and romance.

Banky W Signs Singer, Niyola To His Record Label As First Lady

Head of Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) music label, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W has signed a first female artiste onto his label, EME.

The deal was concluded last week after several contract talks between Banky W and Niyola's representatives.

Niyola now joins Wizkid, Skales and the boss; Banky W also known as Mr Capable on EME records label.

Niyola, a pop, R&B and soul singer, is reportedly excited about it. This deal makes her officially the first lady of EME. An EME artistes' compilation album titled “The Empire Mates State Of Mind” would be released later this week.

LIAR: We saved Christian Obodo not the police, Says Community.

Following the credit been taken by the Delta state police command over the release of kidnapped soccer star, Christian Obodo, the Emevor Vigilante squad in Isoko North local government area of the state has expressed sadness over claims of the police stating that they were the one that rescued the football star.

Delta State police spokesperson DSP Charles Muka had told Saharareporters that the abducted soccer star was rescued by police in Emevor in Isokoland, a position corroborated by the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Chika Ogeah..

Speaking to our reporter at Emevor, angry local vigilantes, who pleaded for anonymity, said the police lied about the release of Obodo. they asked the police to give them credit and not undue credit all by themselves.
