‘Why I walked out of my marriage’ – Chika Ike

Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has confirmed her separation from her husband, Ebiribi. She said this in a recent interview with online publication, BellaNaija, ‘I’m separated and I’m working on my divorce and very soon I’d get a divorce‘, she said.

She blamed her failed marriage  on her young age and inexperience, ‘Some people get married that young and have been able to make their marriages work. But if you’re young, you’re young. There are some things you’ve not experienced‘.

‘You might not be able to stay calm when you’re supposed to stay calm, understand when you’re supposed to understand or leave what you’re supposed to leave’ she said. She also cited incompatibility, stressing the need for partners to understand each other’s limit, ‘Everybody has a limit. There are some things in marriage that you might not be able to stand‘, she said.

She did not confirm the speculation about being a victim of domestic violence.
