Brom manager Roy Hodgson has challenged Super Eagles forward Osaze
Odemwingie to continue where he left off against Wolves in the English
Premier League. The hat-trick hero has endured an otherwise stop-start
campaign. The Nigerian’s haul goals two weeks ago gives him eight for
this season.
The call from Hodgson comes just as the
Eagles prepare for the African Nations Cup qualifying game against
Rwanda in Kigali on February 29.
With 13 games left, Hodgson hopes
Odemwingie will seize the chance to prove his most recent showing was
not just a one-off, starting with Saturday’s visit of Sunderland. And
the Albion manager has hinted that he might be prepared to use
Odemwingie in a wide-right role, similar to the position he assumed in
the 5-1 win at Wolves.
“Peter’s (Osaze) been very lively,” Hodgson told Birmingham Mail.
