Joke Silva Appointed As Movie MD At Kwara University

Nollywood ‘mama’ Joke Silva, wife to the veteran actor, Olu Jacob, has just turned an educator. The mother and prolific movie maker, Joke has been officially appointed to head a Nollywood movie studio named Malete Film Village owned by Kwara State University.

The eloquent woman, Joke Silva revealed she would be building a movie studio in the school from scratch. Saddled with the responsibility of training people who love acting profession, she has since started work.

She said, “I would be building a movie studio from scratch and making it viable. More importantly, it is supposed to be an underpinning for Nollywood where the skills that are necessary to sustain Nollywood will be taught. It is to train those who have decided to take a profession in the film industry and the various skills that are involved in the industry. I am the pioneer MD.”
