Jonathan vows to replicate Asian Tiger feat in Nigeria

President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed to replicate the miracle of the Asian Tigers with the Nigerian economy as he wooed Korean investors and assured them of good return on investment in the country.
He also called on the investors to come and partner with the government in the building an economy which he said “has the best prospects of growth in Africa.”
The president made this known while declaring open the Nigeria-Korea Investment Forum on Infrastructure and Energy Development, hosted at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICC). He noted that policies and programmes of his administration were geared towards ensuring that Nigeria becomes one of the top 20 economies in the next 20 years.
According to him, there was need for synergy between the 150 Chief Executives of top Korean companies and across the globe that gathered to listen to presentations on opportunities open to them to invest in and get returns in the Nigerian economy.
President Jonathan told the gathering that vast opportunities abound in Nigeria consisting both human and natural resources which he claimed will be an advantage when compared to the situation of South Korea which attained its development without natural resources. He asked them to explore areas of mutual investment and benefit.
