Wizkid’s win has come as a huge surprise as he beats African entertainer D’banj and Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti to the prize. Other nominees in the category inlcude Cheikh Lo, Fatoumata Diawara, Liquideep, Owiny Sigoma Band, Smod, Spoek Mathambo, and Vieux Farka Toure.
