Arc Onolememen said he had instructed the contractor handling the road, Reynold Construction Company, RCC, to carry out a palliative work before the end of the rainy season and begin full reconstruction after the rains.He said: “I have gone to Ore/Benin road myself and instructed the contractor to go back to work. I’m sure those travelling on that road this festive period will no longer have problem again.
The government has hasten up the repair work on the road as the festive period draws nearer and we are committed to end that long suffering of the people on that road.”
According to the minister, the second phase of the contract, totaling N16.7 billion, has been awarded to enable the construction company to rehabilitate the 260 kilometre road.
