IVIAN SARCOS FROM VENEZUELA EMERGED WINNER MISS WORLD 2011


Miss Ivian Sarcos.a 21 year old beauty queen from Venezuela has emerged the winner of Miss World 2011.She would be the 5th person from her country to have won the peagent since inception about 60 years ago.She was crowned by Miss World 2010, Miss Alexandria Mills.
 The new Miss world almost became a nun and she spent 5 years in a nunnery school before she later changed her mind. Ivian later studied human resources
and ended up as a broadcaster in her country before becoming Miss Venezuela.
 Gwendoline Ruais-Miss Philippines and Miss Amanda Vilanova from Puerto Rico were the first and second runner ups respectively.
Out of 113 contestants at this year's Miss World, Ivian was the choosen one, 7 other contests could not make not make it to the Earl Court, London venue of the competition as they were either denied visa into UK or got it late.
 The London Women Network , however, staged a protest against the Miss World Contest. According to them,the organizers are treating women like sex objects.
 Unfortunately, the Nigerian rep to the Miss World, Sylvia Nduka did not make it to the top 30
