The end is yet to come for crisis in Nigeria football
as the court ruling made against the Nigeria Football Federation has
again highlighted problems in the system. On Wednesday the Nigeria
Football Federation filed an appeal against the judgement passed by a
Federal High Court in Abuja last week declaring it illegal.
Our correspondent learnt that some very top officials
of the National Sports Commission are pushing for the Sports Minister
Bolaji Abdullahi to kick out the NFF board and install a sole
administrator until the latest matter is resolved irrespective of what
the Federation of International Football Associations is saying about
it. An official who has been accused severally of supporting cases
against the NFF has been fingered as the leader of those pushing for
total sack.
