Nigerian youth, national asset, says minister

THE newly appointed Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has assumed office yesterday promising to reposition the Ministry to make it more effective and efficient. Addressing officials of the ministry, the minister noted that the ministry is actually in a vantage position to turnthe enormous population of Nigerian youth into an asset.
According to him, “with about 70 million Nigerian youths, the Ministry of Youth Development is one of the most important ministries, and we can make serious positive impact by taking advantage of our large youthful population.”
He urged the management and staff of the ministry to join him in this quest to ensure a turn around in the fortunes of the ministry and make impact in the lives of every Nigerian youth.
“The ministry is relatively young, having been established in 2007, this provides us with the opportunity of giving it the direction wewant.”, he said(via vanguard newspaper). That is how they keep 'praising the youths', yet they don't want the younger generation to take over, especially all those 'glorified' positions. Yaya keke? Inawuni
