Following increased bombings and attacks by Boko Haram on innocent citizens in some northern, the Inspector General of Police, Mr Hafiz Ringim, Tuesday, ordered the immediate redeployment of Commissioners of Police of Borno, Niger, Katsina, Kano and Bauchi States.
Also redeployed, according to the IGP’s directive, are the Commissioners of Police of Kebbi, Sokoto,Nasarawa, Plateau, Jigawa, Benue, Ondo, Oyo, Imo, Ogun, Ebonyi states and Federal Capital Territory, as well as the Commissioners of Police in charge of Homicide and Federal Operations.
Vanguard’s investigation revealed that CP Baba Adisa Bolanta, formerly the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, has been deployed in Sokoto; CP Ibrahim Mohammed is redeployed in Katsina State; CP Simeon Midenda, formerly CP incharge FEDOPS,is moved to Borno State; CP Ibrahim Idris is the new Kano State CP; CP Ikechukwu Aduba is CPin charge Bauchi State, CP Michael Zuokummoh,formerly of Niger State is the new CP in charge FCT.(Vanguard Newspaper)
