Fish out bombers, Okonkwo tells Jonathan

PRESIDING Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM, Dr. Mike Okonkwoyesterday condemned the current state of insecurity in the country, saying that President Goodluck Jonathan must rise up to the challenge and fishout all those behind the growing trend of terrorism in the nation.
Fielding questions from newsmen during the 12th Mike Okonkwo Annual Lecture in Lagos,Bishop Okonkwo who is commemorating his 66th birthday, said the only way the Jonathan administration can win the confidence of the global community was to fish out those who bombed the UN House inAbuja.
According to the celebrant, no nation develops in a state of insecurity that the nation had found itself lately, adding that Boko Haram is not made up of spirits, but human beings who can be identified and prosecuted.
Okonkwo said: “The nation had been thrown into a state where life and property is no longer guaranteed. We cannot continue like this.The government must, without any further delay, brace up to the challenge and prosecute all those behind the current state of insecurity in the country.
“We got to this sorry state because we have failed to do what we should have done long before now; and that was identifying those who have been sponsoring Boko Haram and bringing them before the law,” he added.(Vanguard Newspaper)
