Presidency contacts Gusau, others
Worried by escalating attacks by the Boko Haram insurgents, the presidency is reported to have established contacts with retired security chiefs, top among whom is the former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau.

Dependable administration source told the Nigerian Tribune that the contacts were made soon after the UN House bombing and a recent discovery of a wide range of lapses within the security apparatus.

While the source could not identify the specific role expected of General Gusau, it was learnt that the contact was made in preparation for the long awaited restructuring of the security services by President Goodluck Jonathan.(Nigerian Tribune)
